QUA: I will be visiting Genting in January and on a Saturday. Can you tell me what is the normal waiting time in Queue for getting a cable car back to lower station.
Also where will the Go Genting express bus near the lower station be stationed.
Thank you.

The waiting time can wary depending upon the dates, days and time of your visit. It will be crowded in January, but the cable car frequency is very fast so no need to worry. If you take the cable car early in the morning, before 1000, the waiting time will be much less than later in the afternoon. I've taken the cable car down during the Christmas weekend once at 11.30 a.m and there was no line at all to go down.. So it really depends on the day, but you should be fine going down. I've seen larges queue's for going up than going down.
Once you get off from the cable car at the lower skyway station, just follow the signs and take the elevators down to the bus stand. You will find the buses waiting there. It's very easy, well sign-posted, so don;t worry and enjoy your holidays!

I used to take the Go Genting Express, but the problem is, sometimes you cannot get the bus ticket, or you have to wait for longer time,i.e. you buy the ticket at 10am, you have to wait for the 12noon bus.
So what I do now is to take a bus from First World bus station(every half an hour), to Titiwangsa,(can't remember the bus name, maybe rainman can help) it cost RM5.90, from there then I transfer to other placses(by local train/monorail), i.e. TBS or Pudu, very easy, only cost RM1.70.

Yes what hualien has suggested is also an option, but you will miss the cable car ride in that event.
Where exactly do you want to go from the lower skyway station? You don't have to take the GOGenting bus back. There are good a/c buses going to KL Sentral, so I would suggest you get onto one of those. Easily available, and the fare is not much at less than MYR 14.
From KL Sentral you can connect to anywhere in KL city!

There is only the Go genting direct bus from KL Sentral to Lower Skyway of genting. From here you have to take the cable car up.
I'm not aware if they have a direct bus from KL Sentral all the way up to First world genting. There is a direct bus from the LCCT airport though.
I would suggest taking the cable car ride, its really good

May I suggest:
1. From KL to Genting : Take the Go Genting Express bus, and enjoy the cable car ride, going up is easy! The place you get off the cable car is the Resort/Highland Hotel(you don't need to come back here, more things in the First World Hotel);
2. From Genting to KL : Take the yellow bus(only at the First World Hotel bus station), every half an hour, RM5.90, the bus go to Titiwangsa, then take a monorail to KL Sentral.
At the First World Hotel, go to the "Bus Terminal" and look for the "Genting Highland Transport", the bus goes every half an hour. RM5.90 per trip.
But I forgot to check the last bus leave Genting, sorry! So once you reach First World Hotel, go and check first!
